Was at work last night when the idea of a cool toy came to me. Take "Rock 'Em Sock 'Em Robots" and replace the robots with Godzilla and MechaGodzilla. Change the setting from a boxing ring surround to one of cardboard buildings, and add the sound gimmick from Bandai's "Sound Battlers" from back in '99 so that when you land a blow, the figure roars. Now, I could be wrong, but to the best of my knowledge, no one has done this before and I think it would be great fun! Any thoughts?

That would make a pretty damn cool toy for sure. There could lots of combinations for Kaiju fights.

Are we talking about aconcept for a custom, or something that ought to be an official product? ...Because if it's the latter, I could see this expanded into a small line.

Sadly I don't know the first thing about toy production; but I could see numerous, interchangeable versions of this idea. Godzilla and Mechagodzilla (on Tokyo ring?) could be the first; then you could have, say, Rodan against Baragon (on Mt. Fuji ring), or Anguirus against Gigan (on Children's Land ring), and the monster fighters could be swapped out between rings. You could even sell deluxe monster fighters on their own (King Ghidorah). Maybe each ring could have its own unique gimmick as well?
