The Shin-Gojira Bandai vinyls and plush are out, along with the Godzilla 2000, Kiryu Mechagodzilla and another vinyl I can't remember.
Yodabashi Camera had a whole wall of them, and I spotted them at a few other shops.
I'd post pictures but all o have is my phone and can't upload them directly.

Maybe I can get it "for my classroom" and take it out of my monthly education budget...

Was in NYC today and saw the new Bandai figure so I picked one up. Pretty nice sculpt, I think. Has me thinking about possibly adding some more detail to the paint job, down the road.

I'm stopping by the theater tomorrow to get my tickets and see if any of the merch is out yet, or if they're waiting until the day of the release.

I have yet to find the Sega Godzilla figure in any of the arcades, but I DID find a few stores with the Banpresto Ichiban Kuji lottery, and won some key chains, magnets, folders, and mini figures. Kind of glad I didn't win the huge figure since I'm more or less out of room in my bags.

Yeh. I had no idea it was going for those kind of prices.. makes me wish i bought 2!

He's about 9" tall from toe to top of the head, but the tail is around 18" long by itself

I found a tiny little shop in Akihabara that still had two of those left to win, but I decided not to go for it since the figure was bigger than the room I had left in my suitcase.
Didn't realize I'd be staying at the same hotel as the G-Tour folk (small world) or I would have gone for it and tried to flip it, haha.

I thought Sega was going to release a figure for the UFO catchers, or am I completely mistaken?

It seems like there's a significant frenzy around the merch for this movie driving prices to ridiculous levels. I've heard the bandai vinyl was going for crazy high at g-fest and the dealers couldn't bring enough of 'em.

I guess since its been 12 years since a Japanese Godzilla film (and the associated goodies) came out people are rather starved for Japanese Godzilla toys?

At G-FEST the standard Bandais were being sold for $40-$45. Which is high for something that only cost $15 if you preordered, but less than half what some OOP Bandai standards go for. Its also a factor that they came out the same week in Japan, so there wasn't a chance for most people to have gotten them online, or for all the dealer's to have gotten them in time for the show. So it was kind of a perfect storm.

How much is the Banpresto supposed to be going for? It sure is impressive!

I'm really curious to see what Bandai USA is going to come up with. A larger-scale vinyl would be cool...

i'll order them out of fear no one else will make them.. but those are some of the blandest looking figures. very little texture, non existent paint applications.
