What does everyon here use to display their figures? Now that I have more room in my bedroom I want to get something to display my SHMAs instead of the shelves that I was using. I was thinking about buying a bookcase or even building something.
Does anyone have any suggestions for me? As for the figures that'd be put on display it'll be all the SHMAs out except Destoroyah, Destoroyah Evo Set, Battra and G2K.

I have them on display in bookshelves, often interacting with each other. I have ambitious plans for a Diorama of sorts. I am considering the heavier Tamashii display stands (the ones used for Super Robot Chogokins) for displaying kaiju that can fly.

Although I haven't priced them in quite a while, one thing I used before I got my display cases were lawyer book shelves. At least, that's what I think they were called. They looked like conventional book cases, but had a glass door which folded down from the top of each shelf. When I bought mine, they were readily available (and fairly cheap) at most department stores such as K-Mart. The glass doors did a nice job of cutting down on how frequently I had to dust the figures within, the only problem was that I had to make modifications so that I could add some fluorescent lighting. Hope this helps...

I'm getting ready to completely revamp my man cave over the coming months. Lowes sells these really cool LED light strips that have something like 20 different color settings and a remote control to change the colors with so that's a definate buy for me.
As far as shelves go you can find a good selection at lowes or home depot. Check them out first.

I use the "Billy" line of bookcases and shelving from IKEA. They come in ll kinds of shapes and sizes and the various units have numerous ways they can be attached to each other and made into all sorts of modular units. They are fairly inexpensive, look good, and are very versatile. They also sell all kinds of add-ons/accessories for them. I've added full length glass doors. I've also installed some LED light strips and replaced some of the regular shelves with glass shelves to allow more light through. One of these days I'm going to finish out my display and put up some new pictures.

I'll look into those Ikea shelves sadly we don't have any local Ikeas so I'd have to order online.
