I'm thinking about sinking $100+ for a 14 inch, Bandai Godzilla 1991 figure. Is it worth it?

Yes, but not a cent more.

If it's the original release, perhaps...one way to tell if it is an original release is that the box features the "Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah" logo. If it's the re-release, I wouldn't pay more than $60 myself as they were all over E-Bay not that long ago. It is a decent figure though (either version), except for the stubby tail. Just my thoughts, for what they're worth...

I dunno if mine's original or a re-release (probably the latter) but I paid exactly $100 for mine about 4 or 5 years ago. I felt like it was a fair price at the time (I certainly wasn't able to find one for less) but I'm sure the going rate has fluctuated since then. It's a pretty awesome figure and is definitely worth spending $100 for if you've got the money. But then, that's pretty much how it boils down for anything.... Shop around for the best price you can find (remembering to take the condition of the item into account) and then determine if it's a price you personally feel is fair and worth it.

Just thought I'd add, another way to tell the difference between the original and re-release is that the original was made of a harder vinyl. Hope this helps...

How much harder? Mine is pretty solid. I should go dig the box outta the closet and see whether it's original or reissue. I know it has G'84 on one side but that's about all I remember.

Well, it's 14 inches tall, and from head to tail, it's 21 to 22 inches long.
