Didn't see a thread for this and I think the recent posts have been put under Wave 6. I'll start a new thread here with my first full in-depth review of the new King Caesar figure. The Chibi set and 12" Kiryu to come.

Check it out:

I think this figure hit all the right notes, and it looks better than the Bandai of Japan release. The detailing is just much better. I do think the previous Bandai of Japan release has a better deco. However this one just is the better molded figure.

I wish it didn't have pupils and it'd nearly be perfect. Still my favorite Bandai representation of King Seesar, if only from looking at pics.

:D A friend of mine finally found me a King Seesar at a TRU express in one of the local malls. Rochester, NY
$14.49 Noticed the prices are higher then the normal TRU across from the mall.

I just bought a King Caesar from TRU Express yesterday, but I didn't know you could ask them to match the online price. I agree that the sculpt and details are great. The paint job is not bad, I just wish the black weathering could have been better controlled.

I bought the King Caesar and Godzilla 1954 figure because it was a new sculpt (the previous 54 Creation I had was from Wave 1). Does anyone know if G2K is different than what they've put out before? TRU didn't have it but looking at the box it looked the same to me.

I think the newer 1954 figure looks miles ahead of anything Bandai Japan produced. He looks fierce!

I thought they did a pretty decent job with it.

I personally think it's a fine sculpt. I'm not a big fan of Chibi's, but they are cheap in a set so I got them anyways. That's how I am with most of these releases.

I don't know, I think the head looks down right awful. THe neck looks like it is folded and one of the legs looks bigger than the other and the proportions just look off.

^ that sounds vaguely familiar to your assessment of the BC King Seesar

I liked King Ceasar.

Anyway, I will agree that the detailing and the spines are superior, but that head is just... just... EW!!
