Bronze Fakes

Postby Hesei » Fri Aug 09, 2013 9:56 am

I just thought I'd resurrect this idea. I saw over on eBay and couldn't recall the rule. Is the bronze brown vinyl or painted brown and then painted bronze?

Not sure about this piece, but since I have one, I've not really kept the clues for fakes fresh in my mind.

Thoughts?

Yes, but that's the straight-up bootleg. I was referring to the re-painted 1984 GMS figure. Taking a 200-300 figure and selling it for 800-2000.

But, yeah. I kind of forgot about the 100% bootlegged version.

Sorry dude! You brought up fakes and that was the only thing that came to mind. Yeah, counterfeit bronze GMS Mosu-Gojis... that, I don't see any guides or recall the rule.

On an unrelated note, feels like it's been a long time since I've seen this figure in either version brought up here!

Well, with all the great Gigabrain and SHMA news, it's easy to forget about classics!

When I was at G-Fest, there were so many old Bandai figures... it would have been heaven for me, just six or seven years ago!
I don't recall a Bronze, but Clawmark has a green Orga for $3.5k, I think. I always thought the Bronze was the top-tier Bandai Godzilla figure, but I guess there are oddballs around.
And no, I didn't even consider buying that damn thing!
