I have no interest whatsoever in owning this thing. I'm totally content already with my 24 inch NECA figure. Why do I need to get a $700+ statue of the beast? Also I don't really like the pose or the details on the monster.

I'm 90% certain that the High Grade Female MUTO and the WizKids mini Female MUTO are the exact same sculpt.

So did the Bandai Godzilla 2014 and Muto Chibi 2 packs show up in stores at all ? Did anyone see them in TRU or Walmart ? Anywhere retail ?

Far as I know they absolutely did. Never ran into them locally but that's because I have only crappy stores here. I've seen pics of Target and TRU shelves with them though, several people here own them, and both sets are still available on Amazon.

I never saw the 2014 chibi sets in stores; I'm not sure about the "local" Toys R Us stores as those are something like 45 minutes away and at that point it's just easier to buy whatever online.

I ordered the 2014 chibi figures a little before Christmas for an incredible deal on Amazon, would have spent more trying to drive to a TrU even before figuring in gas costs.

I saw them at TRU, but I just had my comic shop order them for me. The K-Marts and Wal-Marts (which got many of the figures much later than the film's release) never got the SD figures.
