For the past few months, I'd had a lot of my time invested in the job I was contracted to do, so I've had little energy to put into motivating myself to take pics and discuss as much as I might have while wrapping up my degrees, so my lack of input and waiting as long as I did to get some of the Ultra 500 toys certainly hasn't helped. From what I see in Baltan and Black King I know Mike's thoughts on the initial twelve figures being a fantastic successor to the Ultra Monster Series seem accurate, but as later series come out... Gavadon and Dark Galberos are the worst I own and they're still great, merely suffering from mediocre paint sprays. Other newer figures are much, much worse and don't have as much care put into the paint as the sculpts received.
This line has absolutely nothing in common with Ultimate Monsters other than being of relatively comparable size. These have much more in common with the 4" candy toy vinyls Bandai makes of Ultraman, Godzilla and other toku, only with superior sculpts.
