Special thanks to king_ghidorah for such a great thread idea. So for part two I'm picking the original version of Mechagodzilla. Just this version though, not MGII from Terror of Mechagodzilla.

So let's start things off with the original 1983 release of the 8" Bandai figure.

One of my all time favorites. Hopefully I'll get home in time to snap a picture of one of my figures before they've all been posted. :-)

I don't have too many '74 Mechagodzilla figures. I've got the (awesome) gashapons posted above. And I've got the item I chose to picture: the chrome version of the chogokin Mechagodzilla. He's pretty awesome and has a ton of display options. He has plenty of articulation, plus he has interchangeable parts to switch to flying mode and display him with all his weapons loaded or fired. You can even pull his neck out of the body, simulating how Godzilla destroyed him. I forgot to take a pic of that, but you can see it on the back of the box in the bottom right corner. Anyway, I went a little overboard with the pics, but you cant sum this toy up in just one!

You guys are really making me appreciate Godzilla vs Mechagodzilla 74 in a brand new way lol.

The film always seemed kind of boring to me as a kid...no where near as fun as Terror of MG. Just seeing figures from the 74 movie makes me appreciate all of the cool things that film did well

Edit that chrome MG....wow...might be one of the coolest collectables I've ever seen

On another note, can anyone post some pics of a detailed 74 MG next to a 75...I wanna see the differences everyone's talking about

See I always felt ToMG was the more boring film. Although I've grown to appreciate ToMG a lot more as I get older.

In fact, I was just watching it today.
