So...I've talked this line up enough. I'm enamored with it. I only own two of them (Takkong, and the Gomess/Litra set) but they are two parts of my collection I can't imagine not having. I'm a HUGE Gomess and Return of Ultraman fan so these two figures in particular are special to me.
Here's a pic of the Gomess and Litra. The figure is about 10 inches tall, and it's solid, hard vinyl. The amount of detail can't be summed up in any pictures I've seen so far.
The Takkong is easily the best Takkong figure I've ever seen. Sorry Bandai. At the tip of his hand he's prob about 8 inches max. He's shorter than Gomess, but he's still solid.
Lastly, a figure I covet, but will prob never own. The Eleking figure in this line.
Notice the yellow coloration...a great detail, a nod to his original appearance in Ultraseven. I kind of prefer the yellow-ish look of the original Eleking myself. The inclusion of the sejin is a nice touch.
Here's some more figures in their Ultraline

So how much do these go for and where do you find them?

I grabbed mine from Hobbysearch when they came out...usually 70-80 bucks a pop.
Not bad considering these figures are essentially in the 30cm scale.
BTW I think my Gomess is prob at least 10 inches tall actually.
These are a lot easier to find (new) than Marmits, Gigabrains ect.

Wow, those are fantastic looking. I've never heard of artstorm before. I don't suppose they make Godzilla or Gamera related figures? (Probably why this is the first I'm hearing of them)
As nice as they look (Gomess in particular), I'm just not an Ultra fan at all. I've tried based on recommendations from people here, but I just can't get into it. The monsters just get too weird, the fights are often too tongue-in-cheek (& they always move too fast looking like Mexican wrestling matches more than giant monsters), and I just don't care for the humanoid giants. I mean, I know they're all men-in-suits, but ultraman himself just kinda beats that fact over your head & it destroys the illusion for me, especially when he's fighting like a luchador....
But anyway, nice figures!

Yeah, while it's a slightly different aesthetic, I don't see how these are any more stylized than any of the other designer vinyl companies.
The more I look, the more I really like that Gomess. I mean, that looks more like a professional custom paint job than something from a factory. Very nice.

I appreciate the sentiment, but to be honest I'm not really looking for something else to collect. I already collect Star Wars, Indiana Jones, and Godzilla. I do have the odd Gamera, Batman, X-files, or Doctor Who item but I mostly stick to the first big 3.
And (as if the multiple franchises weren't enough), I've always only bought what I liked, when I could afford it. My Godzilla collection alone consists of Bandais (6 & 8 inch), Marmit, Gigabrain, jumbo figures, theater exclusives, candy and capsule toys, model kits, etc. etc. I'm not a stickler for wanting to complete a whole line, have all one scale, only realistic or stylized. I get whatever strikes my fancy enough to want to buy it. As such, I don't feel like my collection is really wanting for variety or uniqueness. Plus my collection is already big enough that I can't keep it all out at once & have to rotate things in and out of storage...
Now, about your other point (there being a whole world of kaiju I'm missing out on), I do see your point. I've not really cared for the ultraman stuff I've been exposed to, but there is a WHOLE LOT more out there I've never seen. I'm sure there's something I'd enjoy. I'm actually quite excited about the upcoming DVD set of Ultra Q. It sounds like it'll be much more up my alley & I've wanted to see it for years. But as for seeing more ultraman, while I'm sure ill get around to it eventually, I feel no rush. Between the Godzilla series, Gamera, Daimajin, etc., I feel quite satisfied with my kaiju viewing library. I enjoy seeing new stuff, but I've got so much that I already love I don't feel a strong urge to actively seek out more very often. But again, I do appreciate the thought.
