Problems with sticky vinyl(?) on diorama pieces

So while cleaning off my figures I've realized all the diorama sets from the Yuji Sakai Godzilla Appearance set () that I have are coated with this sticky residue. I tried washing them in warm water with soap, but that does nothing to remove the residue. I've only had them on the shelf with all the other Sakai diorama pieces released over the years and none of them have this issue. I don't smoke, and there's no sunlight at all in my room. Any help?
