Of course I had to f***ing buy them, first! Damn it!
Even though it looks like a one-color paint scheme, it looks a HELL of a lot better than the unpainted versions. But unless these get some stunning reviews, I'm gonna pass. Not getting any more cash from me for nothing...

I was very surprised that these showed up on BBTS site. I was told that a silver version might be made if both of us sold out, but I know that BBTS still has about 75% of the first versions. I'm planning to have the rest of my stock repainted. They will cost a couple of dollars more, but will still be less than BBTS price. Allso, Y-MSF is releasing the snake (from kk 67) and the octocpus (from Godzilla vs KK). Both BBTS and I will get them, but they will be shipped unpainted. I plan to have my stock painted in the correct colors. Here are the first photos. Please note that the mini women figures migth not be released.

Looks like they are in stock. Could they have made the joint at the waist just a little more noticeable? It's like he's got a black belt too. What could be more bad*ss than that? A mechanical gorilla with both a grenade belt AND a black belt! Seriously though, take out the lame joint at the waist anyway, it's not like it's a point of articulation or anything.

My silver open-mouth M.Kong arrived today. The sculpt is nice and I like the silver. Articulation just consists of the waist and simple up/down for the arms, but no leg articulation. Height and bulk wise, it's roughly half the size of the Bandai. The only fault I can find with it is that it's sculpted so that it's kind of back-heavy. There needed to be a little pitch forward at the ankles. As a result, in a stand-at-attention pose he wants to fall backwards unless you counterweight it by raising the arms slightly forward.

For $13.60, I'm pretty darn happy with this, and despite the balance issue, heavily recommend adding it to your pile of loot at BBTS before it's out of stock. Especially considering how crazy the Bandai prices on ebay can get. I wish I would have had the heads up on this so I could have picked the bomb-belt version up for $17 at the same time.
