Rare 'Gridman' kaiju toy
Posted: Thu Apr 15, 2010 6:42 pmThere were some kaiju released for Superhuman Samurai Syber-Squad, but in action figure form (complete with a Playmates-style set of weapons, which worked for Kilokhan and Skorn but not so much for the others) and in the small 2" PVC figure size. Nothing like the vinyls.
I have only a bit of experience when it comes to pricing for these, but I think they fall into that unfortunate category of rare, but not valuable. They pop up so rarely now, but as Gridman was a one-season wonder that went nowhere, its toys have little demand. The designs selected aren't doing them any favors, among what I've seen.
I used to see that very same toy being sold on eBay from a Singapore or HK kaiju store and it never moved (he also had one other kaiju). A year or two later the guy still had it. It's gone now, but no clue when it was sold, or if.
When I did some Googling, I spotted a guy selling another Gridman kaiju.

The first one is the other kaiju I mentioned above, the second is new. It's a bit sad that I can't even determine how many Gridman kaiju got figures.
