I like the and the . The Ultimate is very large while the Living is much smaller, next to the Bandais.

If you aren't into Zilla or TM, skip the little guys and the Supreme. Shoot for the Ultimate for size or the Living if you're short on space.
Both are up on eBay, now. The is overpriced, but he will take offers. As to the , I think $65 is kind of high, but I honestly can't think of past prices.

Of course, if you can find the Sakai statue, though, then you'll be set!

My favorite is the Ultimate Godzilla:

The sculpt is great and it's huge. Next best is Living Godzilla, which has a nice sculpt and is about 12" tall, which makes it a nice scale to go with the 12" Bandai figures.

edit: looks like Hesei and I are on the same page on the figures- I do love that statue too. Great detail!

I totally agree on the Ultimate, although price and especially size may make it a prohibitive option. But honestly, I have trouble recommending the Living. It's that pose, and the tail, that bother me too much.

Instead, I vastly prefer one of the 8" options. They look great alongside your 8" Bandai figures and there's at least three different ones for your choice of pose and gimmick. The one I own and prefer is called Combat Claw, I think. The pose is mostly straightforward, not unlike the Ultimate. The arms can lock in place in an upraised position and slam down when you press on a spine, the mouth moves. Sure as hell worth the $2 or so I paid for it brand-new at KB in '99 or '00.

I can't find it on the internet at the moment, but I'm sure you can check it out for reference easily enough. Here's another of the 8" figures, although I don't like its arms nearly as much, and ignore the retarded price: .

EDIT: Found him! . The arms look silly in the packaging also, but note that you can actually move the left arm down, which forces it in a different position while retaining the claw-slashing gimmick.

The Ultimate Godzilla is a great looking figure, plus it was used as the base for Zilla in FINAL WARS.

I also really like the sculpt of the Godzilla '98 figure from Bandai's "Hyper Godzilla" candy toy set.

Definitely the Ultimate! Once you have it in your hands, it's just awesome...the size and detail, plus the great roar! It's a space hog though!

The Ultimate. I love this toy. It's just so gigantic, and the sculpt isn't that bad.

I always liked the 6-inch GINO that came with the jets and or missile launchers.
