hypothetical new movie/Bandai toys

Here's a question. I know the new American film is just a rumor,but I'm asking just for s---s and giggles When and IF this new Legendary Pictures produced Godzilla comes out,is Bandai automatically the maker of the action figures,or is it up for bidding by Hasbro,Mattel or whoever. I remember the company who had been making American market showa and heisei based toys ended up making the GINO toys,but I don't really know if they got it automatically,or if "classic Godzilla" and "remake Godzilla" were two seperate things.

"Classic Godzilla" (as in, the Toho version) and an "American Godzilla" would be separate licenses. That's how it was done for the TriStar film, and that's how it is done for most other franchises... for example, the Batman and Spider-Man movie are distinct licenses and not automatically connected to marketing of the comic book versions.
