http://www.ccp.jp/b_club/vol4_5.html This the "PLEX*CCP Collaboration Series". It's basically their newer models from the past twelve months.

http://www.ccp.jp/artistic/vol26_gamera2.html This is CCP's AMC figure line, their "regular" line I guess. This is the one that puts out all of those mundane Hedorah figures the world apparently can't get enough of, though it does have their Gamera figures which are pretty cool.

But yeah, it's probably not a big deal, but I just thought somebody might know for sure why CCP feels the need to have two distinct figure lines. Like I said, it's probably just B-Club's endorsement of the one line as oppposed to the other.

All I know is that the only figures I have of theirs or want to get my hands on are the ones from the B-Club/CCP collaboration line.

PLEX is an international design firm that works for Bandai. As I recall from their website, PLEX has been involved with some Super Sentai products, and they're the brains behind the Machine Robo Mugenbine series.

Bandai is collaborating with CCP now? I'd say that explains a lot, but it really doesn't.

I've been searching around to try to figure out a little more in the way of what PLEX really is, and their website says it's part of "Bandai NAMCO Group". Which tells me it's moreso its own company. The website is copyrighted PLEX International design Co., Ltd, so I figure it may have been an individual toy design firm that was eventually bought by Bandai or merged with Bandai. If that's the case, it's perfectly understandable that Bandai would allow them to continue to collaborate (I'm starting to hate this word) with other toy companies so as not to interfere with how they do business.

Big corporations, when they buy smaller companies but ones that are still fairly large or profitable, will typically not try to interfere with how or who they do business with. It's like when Fender bought Gretsch, they didn't replace all their employees or start telling them who or who not they could sell their instruments to.

It also looks like PLEX designs much of what is released from B-Club, which of course is tied in with these particular CCP figures as well. So I'm thinking it's not so much Bandai that's working with CCP, but rather an independant company - PLEX - that just happens to be part of a larger Bandai business group.

So...who else feels like this is completely useless information?
