The Vinyl Figure Awards round 37: ANGILAS 1955
This poll - though it may not be interesting to everyone - is I believe the only one I've done featuring one character represented three different times by the same company with no other entries. This round belongs to Marmit and the 1955 version of Angilas. I'm aware that Marusan put out a 1955 Angilas figure a few years back. And I'd definitely like to get a hold of it if I ever find it. If I do perhaps one day there'll be a rematch, but for now we've got three entries...
Our first entry is also the first Angilas vinyl toy that wasn't based on the 1968 style suit. This figure was released as part of Marmit's Vinyl Paradise line in 1998. A Vinyl Paradise figure has never won first place here, so maybe that will change now.
This Angilas was an early entry in Marmit's Para Baby line, and was released in 2001. It came with one half of a plastic Osaka Castle and the '55 Godzilla Para Baby was needed to complete the structure.
Finally here's Marmit's Monster Heaven 1955 Angilas, released in 2003.
