"Destroy All Monsters Battallion"

Postby walshbeme » Fri Apr 13, 2007 12:37 pm

I'm surprised that no one has commented on the Godzilla figure slated as part of the "Destroy All Monsters Battallion" posted in the fareastmonsters.com site. Personally, I can't wait to get my hands on these figures. After all these years, Bandai has never been accurate keeping their figures in scale with one another. This is the first time that ALL of the monsters that starred in that film will be in scale! I will never know why Bandai never capitalized on this particular film for a line of figures that should have been done years ago.

Finding discussion on these is just a matter of looking up. :) The New Toys/etc. thread often contains stuff that, due to a lack of info or mainstream interest, doesn't end up with its own thread. Since none of thse (statues? toys?) are released yet, there's not much more discussion available.

EDIT: Way too slow to beat Legion to it, heh.

I think we're all going to have to wait until we actually get to see these to make any real judgements. From what I understand they're statues, with limited posability at best.

No one here has even commented on the G figure they have posted on their web site. I think it's totally awesome! If the rest of 'em look as good as this figure AND are acurate in scale, this IS a collector's dream. It certainly is mine.

Finally got a reply from Far East Monsters, they said that it will be a limited edition series and might possibly be available for pre-order in May from their website. Still debuting them at G-Fest.

I got a reply today and what I got is it will be initially released at G-FEST and then to the public on their website and many online stores. If you want your comic book store to carry these items, you will have to spread the word to them & to all G-Fans.

So yea, we can be their free marketing! hahahaha I don't mind it though since I can't wait to get some new G-Stuff. My collecting has kinda spread on to Ultraman, Kamen Rider, & Garo lately with a few Goji pieces here and there.

More info on this:

http://www.fareastmonsters.com/DAM001A.htm

7 inches tall... That's larger than I would have expected. But one thing bothers me-- the note that the next release will be King Ghidorah in 2008. At that rate, how many years will it take to release the whole 8 piece diorama? They could go out of business long before we see the whole series.
