eBay Going the Wrong Way

Check out this thread on the eBay Discussion boards. In case you are not aware, eBay has throw out all auction transparency for bidding on auctions over $200 by hiding the bidders names. Won't this just open up the floodgate for shill bidders?? As a eBay member since 1998, I see this as a very bad decision impacting bidders and sellers alike.

the only real effect i can see this having is a seller using a second account to get into a bidding war with an honest bidder to drive the final price up.... correct me if that's not possible, but man, i can't think of any good reason to do this.
