storing Bandai vinyls

Postby gojira138 » Mon Oct 09, 2006 2:03 pm

Ok here is the thing....My parents are moving out of Florida! THANK GOD!

they are moving to Pennsylvania....my whole collection is in a air condtioned storage facility in plastic tubs(kinda like what the dealers use to move toys to and from G-Fest). What is the best way to move them so they dont get hot...and squished?

now i know...to keep them cool...and dont squish them. they are going to be moving in the winter time..it is not that cold here in fl in dec/jan..but it is definitly cold up in PA. They said they might get moving trucks or....those POD things...not sure.

All my figures are wrapped in bubble wrap and are ...for the most part...packed nicely. i just want to make sure they all dont go through a meltdown. that would be very bad. very very bad.

Does cold weather bother vinyl?? What if all my tubs are in a un-ventilated truck/POD?

Basically what do you guys think is the best and safest way to have them moved, in the plastic tubs?

Mike, how about this - whenever I start buying vintage Godzilla vinyl's, I will personally pay you to keep all of my spending money on your person at all times and to follow me around to toy venues to keep my toy buying in line.

And that way I won't have to worry about going crazy with anything like OCD

As far as transporting your toys, sensible isn't always the 'best' - if I were in your shape I'd probably still stick tag protectors (which my toys have anyway) and bubble wrap in between the limbs so they don't get pressure-crushed out of shape. That wouldn't take long, just a little extra bubble wrap.

Better safer than sorry, like you said.
