This is why I get so damn frustrated with these toy series. When will we ever get a COMPLETE set of items based solely on "Destroy All Monsters". Everything has to be a mix and match for those attempting to collect a set consisting of the cast of monsters either out of scale or not even from that film. This just plain sucks and I don't understand why these companies don't seize the opportunity to get a complete product out there.

From what I know, G'89 and Gorosaurus are the last X Plus reissued by Diamond by contract agreement.

BUT (a big but too), Diamond plans to make more reissues for Wave 8 and beyond. There were talks of even creating their own sculpts so even though X Plus is out the picture, we might see new and original sculpts. Perhaps X Plus realized they created a rival in the market and cutted off Wave 8? Stay tuned next, at NYCC.

I'm having a heck of a time trying to fit the tail on Hedorah. I used hot water with negative results. I'll try the hair dryer method later. Any recommendations?

Most people recommend heating the body hole and keeping the tail portion stiff. GodzillaFanFreaks and FreshVinyl both have tutorials on YouTube. The GFF tutorial uses the Hedorah

Between the Japanese Ric figures and the Diamond reissues, I'd say the japanese vinyl is much softer than Diamond's. The vinyl is more squishy and parts come off and on with ease.

Anybody wanna backup that statement? Feel free to disagree.

i hadnt noticed that. I just checked mine and the Diamond G'62 is just as stiff as the 30cm G'2k5. I only have two of the Diamond reissues so maybe some of the others are different.

The Japanese Ricboy G'64 has noticeably softer vinyl fins

Hair dryer seems to be best. In most cases (not all), apply heat to the body instead of the tail. Put in the freezer for 5 minutes afterwards and Wahl-ah. Done.

I like the KG figure, but to be honest, I'm not a big fan of the neck poses. I'm sure people will automatically rate this as the "best Ghidorah figure ever!" simply because it's an Xplus, but at $300 (remember back when these could be pre-ordered for $100-$150?), I still think the Gigabrain KG figure is the showa Ghidorah figure to beat. If I find this at a store for $200 or under, I would definitely consider it, but otherwise, nope, I'm staying retired from collecting.

In regards to the Mosu-Goji figure, that's one ugly, distracting face seam for a figure costing over $400+:

Easy pass....staying retired.

As long Pigmon comes with the red balloon, I'm happy.

I think King Ghidorah's neck poses are great, they really capture that unpredictable head movement and I can hear the cackles from the pic :)

Yeah X Plus cannot be compared to Gigabrains and Marmit. Though both do great sculpts, however X Plus goes for the cinematic accuracy while Gigabrain and Marmit do it for the art. After all, there are blue and white versions of Gigabrain's Ghidorah.

I can understand the prices behind X-Plus figures but not so much for Gigabrain or Marmit figures. X-Plus's accuracy and poses are just unmatched in my opinion but the others are in a class that I don't find appealing. I never did favor deformed figures and in some cases deformed figures that seem to take unnecessary liberties with them. That doesn't mean I don't have any just that I don't favor them. There has to be something quite unique about the figure before I shell out mega bucks for it.
