As Tim pointed out lighting and photography makes a big difference in what details you notice on the figure. Tim recently posted a photo from a new blog review you can find here.

This reviewer used different lighting and somehow, his copy of the figure doesnt look as ugly and malformed as previous pics have shown. Even more surprising his figure.....SEEMINGLY doesnt appear to have the eye problem that has plagued other figures. Either its the way the figure was shot on camera or he got really lucky. Truthfully his pictures show a figure that aint as bad as we had previously thought....

WHATS THIS? PAINT SCUFFS FROM A NEW FIGURE TAKEN OUT OF THE BOX? FOR SHAME BANDAI!!!

Also a repost of what Tim said about the ability to twist Godzilla's jaw to the point where it seems as if his jaw has broke after being given a monster knuckle sandwich.

yeah I saw those paint scuffs on the fins and toe nails earlier. I was like "LOLED"! That would be a shame for such a figure. This is like what I touched on briefly before. From looking at all sorts of blogs of Ultra-Acts and Figuarts, you tend to see some small imperfections in the plastics, vinyl, PVC or whatever the material is made for articulated figures. I am talking about the sculpts or how the pieces joined together at certain sections. Some also have had some paint blemishes too.

I guess you just have to hope you have a good figure when you get it.

Got this blog here and this figure looks pretty good on the eyes. I see the light colored background brings out the gray more in the body paint, but some shots almost look like what should have been given to us. Kudos to the guy/gal taking the pics. Though I did notice on the fins, there was a slight blemish here and there, but not too distracting.

You make good points about the beam accessory being only temporary. Whatever, I could care less about Space Godzilla. What I'm really hyped about now is Ghidorah, Fire Rodan and Aggregate Destroyah. Seems a Bandai action figure display section has been added in the Tamashi Bandai Akiba display area in Tokyo.

Observe.....

This is just pure awesome! That Ghidorah is a must get!!!! :shock:
