that west kenji is a beast, can i ask where you got it? i've been looking for one myself
I got it off eBay. For pretty cheap too. I was really surprised that only one other person bid on it.I have only seen it for sale one other time and that was at a local comic shop but my brother bought it before I could.

Got a few toys that I won on ebay a while back. All of it cost me just as much as just one new Marmit would. That's both awesome and incredibly sad.

This little Tomy set is all kinds of kickass. You got the Nitto style Gyaos, the Jiger that shouldn't be on it's knees but is anyway and the super cool swimming Zigra. Again, kickass.
Image

I'm lovin' this Monster Heaven Barugon. So cool.
Image

I already had one of these Guirons (though in a different color) but the Space Gyaos is really cool. These are both Para Babies.
Image

And this one made my day. The seller I won the other Marmits from took a little while to get the toys out due to illness so to make up for it he sent this free Para Baby Zigra. LOL I practically freaked out when I opened the box and there it was!

Ok well after 7 years, I finally procured what is undoubtedly the greatest commercially produced Showa King Ghidorah sculpt in any scale or medium, Kaiju Freaks' 30cm scale King Ghidorah 64 resin kit.

Really nice box art:

Image
that's not a movie still of the suit...that's the finished assembled kit.

This thing is MASSIVE. I haven't assembled it (and probably wont, for several months at least, until I get some modeling skills) but I took a picture of the left wing next to a bunch of assorted Ghidorah figures:

Image

all in all extremely pleased with the level of detail and accuracy in the sculpt. it did cost a lot...easily the most I've spent on Godzilla in the past 10+ years and over $100 to ship from Japan. I justify it by saying to myself, if I didn't get it now, then i'd surely pay more later on :?

^yeah you are indeed correct. I asked some pro-kit builders about the kit and they built a HUGE GTTHM diorama...so big that they had to put it in its own room lol.

Well I'll build it and paint it somewhere down the line. When I'm personally comfortable with my skillset level. Thanks for the congrats...i wont lie i also picked up a few other items the day the new movie was announced cause i was so pumped LOL

Two new ones today!!

Sunguts GMK Godzilla. A very cool little figure. He is only about 5" tall or so but he is great!

Image

Second, a Marmit Monster Heaven Godzilla 1962. It is the grey Superfest exclusive. I have wanted a '62 Marmit for a long time and finally got it. I love the color/posr of this figure

Got the new Marmit 1991 Godzilla today and "awful" was pretty much the first adjective that popped into my head. I wasn't fond of their '89 Godzilla, but it looks like a masterpiece compared to this one. This is an all new sculpt which surprised be because I assumed reusing most of the 1989 figure would be a natural decision. The back fins look like a rush job and the body is just too puffy and chubby, even for a Marmit.

The head is the worst part though. They were obviously going for the head of the robot bust but between the cheap way Marmit does the inside of the mouth and the horrid little black dotted eyes it's just unappealing and ugly. Marmit used to be really careful with the eyes on their figures - the Burning Godzilla is a great example of that. Now they've gone back to little dots. It doesn't work on a Heisei Godzilla, where the eyes are a big part of what made those suits cool.

Unless Marmit either steps up their game or gets away from the Heisei series this is going to be my last Marmit for a while. I'm tired of being disappointed by the low-grade work on their recent Godzillas.

Better painted eyes really could have saved this figure. Why would they allow the paint job to make the toy look that atrocious? But the ugly red chunk of vinyl in the mouth and the seam around the neck also hurt it.

One of their worse, and the 8" Bandai toy is still the reigning king.
