Ah, it's kinda good over here but I do get the hesitance to something like that.

Teaching is kind of a common profession round these here parts. I guess its where most Godzilla nerds go. A lot of others I've seen are librarian or other library related work. I worked at the library desk for four years before going to gradschool and just my luck, a few of my co-workers were also Godzilla fans.

ON TOPIC; What do you think the odds of Muto figures outside of the Bandai Creation and Bandai Japan vinyl? At this point I'll take anything! But I get the feeling if Monsterarts ever wanted to do Mutos they'd be web exclusives in Japan and a two-pack.

How Japanese audiences and fans for that matter react to the Mutos is something I am very interested in seeing. For all intents and purposes they could fit in the Millennium films just from a design and function perspective.

I know artists on Pixiv are having fun with them doing serious and parody pics of them, but a lot of those artists are from Taiwan and the rest of Asia

Very true indeed, and I really don't think this movie will do all that well in Japan. I think we will see the typical Web Exclusive in Japan, Normal Retail In USA sort of thing that Bluefin has been doing when it comes to a Muto 2 Pack.

If anything Orga, Megaguirus, and Monster X if ever released would also likely be released normally here and be web exclusives in Japan.

If I have any advice to people this Summer it's to buy the Bandai Japan vinyl Muto as soon as it's released. The Godzilla might stick around and get re-released in the future, but if history has taught us anything, it's that Bandai Japan is very unwilling to re-release one-shot villain monsters. Think of Orga, Megagiras and Monster X. Have we seen these figures since they first came out? Nope.

HLJ is now taking preorders for the Movie Monster Series Godzilla 2014 figure. The price is 1200 yen and will be released in July.

Pre-ordered both of them on HLJ.

Don't know what's gotten into me...wasn't going to order anything from the 2014 film but that's changed all of sudden.

So far, I'm getting the standard Bandai vinyls and the SHMA. I'd like a 30cm X Plus too..but I might go with the NECA if we don't hear anything soon.
