WOW, I really like the yellow eyes. Though if I have to say, the gray skin colors and the yellow/orange eyes reminds me a lot of the Trendmasters G98 figure.

See, I'm actually excited for the Millennium re-issue because when it first came out, I was expecting extras and I thought that the figure was kind of gimmicky since it wasn't screen accurate. After it shot up out of my price range I ended up wanting it more because I missed the boat  . Anyways, I'm excited for this one at least, so I can understand the re-issues even if we are getting new sculpts.

I know I said not being all to interested in the G2K reissue.

But now I'm interested. If given the opportunity, I'll get this. That deco looks really nice.

EDIT: Seems like there is new molding on the necks! Interesting to know! Less joints folds apparently.

Man, I'm really worried that this is Bandai's way of giving us Kiryugoji.

Wow, the paint on the Special Color Version turned out just as nice as the original, if not better.

It's not as much that the figure is being reissued that bothers me (at least people who missed it can buy it) but that it's being released in a year that ridiculously over-saturated with Godzilla re-releases in this line. I mean, come on...

Well if what we are hearing about next year is any indication we should see a larger variety of figures. That AREN'T Godzilla.

Isn't that the same guy that said Tamashii will never reissue a web exclusive?

That's the best thing about the new films. It's not the new toys from the current films that gets to market. For me, it's the new toys from the classic (Showa) films that get to market.

How is it a new figure? It's the same exact sculpt with a slightly different paint.

Slightly different paint, and the new accessory, keep it from being a straight reissue but as a "new" figure instead. What Bandai traditionally does not do is a straight-up identical reissue of an existing exclusive. Bandai has done "reissues" of exclusives like this several times for other lines, like the ugly gold Frieza, metallic redecoes of Power Rangers and Digimon, and so on. The closest we've gotten to those are runs of old Tamashii event exclusives open to order by anyone (through the Webshop of course) or when an exclusive is so popular its preorder sells out and merits a second production run (see the Kamen Rider 000 TaJaDol set).

This is not me advocating Bandai's behavior or even me playing devil's advocate, because it's a really idiotic policy, only that I'm explaining how it works in Bandai Logic.
