The Board is Down with no repair ETR. My apologies but we don't have the money or resources to repair the issue. It is broken on the back-end and is only here to view as an archive. Thank you for your years of patronage.
Well, it IS a ball joint, but for whatever reason NECA made the choice to make it a fixed rather than movable joint at the factory level. I'd guess it was an issue of the head popping off easily or something. NECA pulled a similar stunt with the initial production runs of Crimson Typhoon, gluing the shoulder ball-joint of the smaller right arm rather than leaving it articulated.
I bought two of the NECA Godzilla 1994 because I wanted to have one on my office and one in it's plastic package. The one in my office can move it's head around fine but now I am wondering about the one that is still in it's plastic case. It looks fine and I don't think I see anything wrong but it looks like everything is a matter of luck now.
Me too. I sent NECA a tweet on twitter, I doubt anything will be done. Hopefully this won't be TOO hard to glue back together. But for tonight, he'll be sitting like this.
Probably depends on the store where you ordered yours. You didn't specify in your haul pics. If it's Amazon, it shouldn't be a problem, but if it's Toys'R'Us or NECA's eBay store, might be a different story.
Yeah, I got mine from the TRU website, which makes me a little iffy. I'll call up their customer service in a little bit, their website did mention something about damaged and defetected items, which probably means only NEW items. We'll see, I'll give them a call. I tweeted NECA last night about it and they just replied, "The head should be articulated." SMH.
I just got off the phone with TRU, they sent me a replacement figure. Thank GOD(zilla)!!
On a side note, while playing around with my 24 inch NECA figure, I decided to make him go fishing... And he caught this. God I feel like a little kid right now.
It took me a minute to figure out what it reminded me of, but it definately wasn't the suit from the movie....
Then it hit me.
What are these people using for reference?!! We get a G'94 that looks way more like the dark horse comics godzilla than the suit from the film it's supposed to represent and now we get a g'84 that looks like the freaking suit in the Charles Barkley Nike commercial! I love a lot of the things neca makes, but this is getting hilarious.
I'd consider a '67 Godzilla if the sculpt was good enough. I'm also one of the weird people who actually kinda likes that suit despite (or maybe because of) it's many flaws. But I've got the 6 inch bandai from the memorial set and it's freaking spot on, so NECA's would have to be pretty awesome to get me to double dip.
