SciFi Japan has information and high-res photos from X-Plus for their Toho, Kadokawa/Daiei and Tsuburaya Pro giant monster figures coming in late April 2014.

I was at our local Hastings and was surprised to see the X-Plus GMK and Showa Mecha-Godzilla there. Both were marked at $150.00 each.

Wow! For $150 a piece, I'd snag a GMK Godzilla in a heartbeat.

Thanks for the tip on Hastings--They have the GMK G for $149.99 on line also, or at least they say they do --I bought one, so I'll find out soon if they actually have them.

The also have the Sanda and Gaira listed as "IN STOCK" for $199.99 --I ordered those from another store that said "IN STOCK" and after 3 weeks they refunded my money because they couldn't get them :(

UPDATE --Even though it was listed as"in stock, usually ships within 24 hours", my order now says "Out of stock" when I check status. The website still says "In stock, usually ships with 24 hours".
The future is big, sparkling warble of superclean and we should endevour to do our best to wash our feet by it.

Thank you,

I'm hoping they get some more in. I really want the 62 and 84 figures.

Hastings actually did ship the X-plus GMK Godzilla to me even though after I placed my order it said "out of stock"--it shipped from San Antonio, TX.

For anyone that knows X-Plus better than me, are the ones being released in the US different than their Japanese releases? The paint on GMK looks different but not too sure...

I'm actually looking for an X-Plus Gomora. Eventually I want to get the 30CM Gamera 2 but its out of my budget. I'm currently bidding on some Gamera 2 and Irys figures (small) and I just scored Legion. When Diamond starts more of reissues I'm really looking for Bio Goji.

so i just went from mild disappointment in another G2 release and a resiusse of G89 to full on giddyness when i saw this

::EDIT:: i know the last gigantic series release was something we had already seen at a Wonderfest, so this sculpt looked familiar too, which makes me think we'll be getting this guy
Image

::EDIT #2:: I guess 'Primevalgodzilla V2' already found this back in December onTK... and its even bigger than their Gigantic GMK :D

I always say I'm done with X-Plus, and that I'm not going to buy anymore - but I'll definitely get the Gigantic Series DesuGoji. It's my favorite suit and has just always been nostalgic for me. I can be content with owning this as my 1 and only X-Plus. At the very least, even if I eventually decide I don't need it, I'm sure the resale value will be crazy.

If the sculpt follows the above model, I'm cool with that. Not movie accurate, but I like artistic pieces too. Hopefully they do the orange color justice without it looking too fake/cheesy.

Did the GMK release have a ric boy exclusive at all or was it just one standard version and that was it?

It looks like the Gamera 96 is in the 25cm scale (instead of 30 like the previous Heisei Gamera releases.) I'd pick up the Heisei/Millennium rogues for sure in the 25cm scale, so lets hope thats where they are headed.

The G89 is a web exclusive, so you will probably need to use a middle man to get that one. It's also priced at about $300 (before the middle market inflation)

If I'm going to spend hundreds on an upcoming X-Plus release, I'm going to keep waiting for Ghidorah.

Wow, that is massive. I'm really liking how they are going with a more stylistic approach on the gigantic series so far. Makes it more unique. Although a suit-accurate G95 in the 30cm scale would also be nice.

Part of me wishes I could've gotten that GMK while it was available, but eh. I only need/have space for 1 gigantic Godzilla probably, and G95 is my choice either way.
For 30cm releases though, I wanted that ric boy Kiryu. I'll just have to settle with the Marmit Kiryus. Not worth paying the high prices for sold-out X-Plus releases.

I wasn't crazy about the GMK sculpt (which is why I skipped it). I do like this sculpt quite a bit, so I plan to get one.

I really don't get the hype behind the Gigabrain Ghidorah. Its about the same size as the Bandai Grand Ghidorah but at a much higher price with less details.. I enjoy stylized figures like Marmits Monster Heaven line, the modern M1s and some Gigabrain releases but the Ghidorah is hardly stylized. Im seriously considering selling mine.
