Neca closeup! Yes, a bit of flash, but with the effect that you can better appreciate where/how the figure is painted.

Unfortunately, I need something to hold me over until the MonsterArt...

@Razieon. My NECA Godzilla figure came in today, and I'm quite impressed with this. Although some of his movement is restricted, I'm still satisfied with the kind of poses this figure can make. I'm currently working on a review of this figure at the moment, but for now here's a few poses I made.

That's a great looking toy. Too bad everyone is just going to have to throw theirs away when the MonsterArts comes out. You're really not going to have much of a choice, it will be so superior.

So the NECA toy is all right. His tail stops being posseable at the joint where you had to snap it together. The fins are way too rubbery and there are very little details on him. I definitely cannot wait for the MA to come out now as it will be vastly superior. Nevertheless, the toy does not feel like it is going to break on me and it is a good substitute at the moment. I do hope NECA does monsters that don't already have MonsterArt versions though, as that will be the main appeal for me.

Just got the Neca figure, and I've gotta say, it's surprisingly fantastic. I don't feel the need to get the Monsterarts figure now.

Interesting. Mine's mainly green(though it does look like classic charcoal grey in some lighting).

The blue-tinted one also appears to be slightly taller.

Height in that comparison is likely due to not being in a perfectly level location or not being posed identically. I wouldn't read anything into that.

Razieon, can you take a smaller pic? I can still distinguish two Godzillas. :P

The 12in 2014 Godzilla is the one currently out right now. It's marked as 12 inches from snout to tail. Kind of a weird way to prop up their product, I know. NECA's figure is not without its merits though. For 20 bucks its pretty solid and that tail looks nicer than I thought. I just kinda don't like the gloss look of the figure when compared to the rather matte finish of other Godzilla figures.

I think from what I've seen so far, the Monsterarts sculpt is easily better and doesn't have those weird looking Mattel-like joints. But more importantly, something that is rarely mentioned is that this figure more or less improves on what a lot of people were harping on the design for months. The feet are fixed since they're spread out and he doesn't look fat(well fatter than most Godzillas).

What I really really want are figures of the Mutos.
