$10 bucks less at BBTS, though when you add in shipping...

Anyway as for why the price is increasing?

I dunno, maybe Japan is sinking and they wanna squeeze out every last bit they got

In the past, Bluefin hasn't included the Japanese tax on it's releases. I've noticed that only on the 2 effects sets and MKG that Bluefin is charging more than Tamashii Nations MSRP. It might have to do with a new business deal for Web Exclusives, although I'm not entirely sure.

But regardless the $200 price point, not every retailer will have it listed at MSRP. Ones to look out for will be Eknightmedia, Amazon, and yes.... Anime Island. I hate recommending that site (A.I.) but they've proven lately to give the best pre-order discounts. EX, Kiryu (2003) MSRP $124.99, A.I. price: $98.40 Although, they don't offer free shipping and they're rather slow at getting you these figures. SOMETIMES they'll have a free shipping coupon code on their site, and that's when it's truly a good deal. I capitalized on that during their 4th of July Sale.

My thought would be that the US price is higher to make up for overseas shipping.

And with Kiryu 2 aside from all the other tinkering with the body design, they made a new back pack that also detaches seperately where as the first one was just a solid chunk. And aren't web exclusives usually a bit more expensive to make up the fact that Blue Fin just deson't do web exclusives but just releases the figure like anyother?

I feel less burdened with Mecha King Ghidorah, just because of how much cool stuff comes with it!

SciFi Japan has product specs and high-res photos from Bluefin for the S.H.MonsterArts Mecha King Ghidorah.

Monsters with simplistic designs, as far as monsters go, will generally be less than $80. A Godzilla figure will definitely range between $50-$75. The more intricate design, the more expensive it'll be. Use of Diecast will always raise the price. Web Exclusive status will always have a higher price. Accessories will raise the prices, especially if they're not a simple shape and have small pieces connecting to one another.

For those looking for deals, Entertainment Earth price matches most online retailers and offers free shipping on orders over $79 bucks. Yes, they're slow getting stuff...but I did just get the Battra/Mothra Larva set and Adult Mothra for $117 bucks total. They matched anime island's price, offered free shipping, and I had a $10 credit on my account. They also credit your account with a percentage of whatever their price match is...so let's say AI is 10 bucks cheaper, they would price match it and then credit your account with $1.00 towards your next purchase above and beyond the original price match.

I've never really looked into Entertainment Earth before for MonsterArts, though I used them once way back. That is excellent info about their price-matching, but I guess a bit late for anything currently out to fill in collection gaps, they're picked clean of a lot of stuff. Thanks for the heads up Hybrid G.

Speaking of online sellers and pre-order stuff. I know G'64 is now out of print but both Anime Island and BigBadToyStore have it up for pre-order at decent prices. Is it some sort of mix up or is there going to be more shipments of the figure?

I'd rather they not have given MKG die cast and cut his price down to $150. MechaG93 is a prime example of why I hate die cast.

^I actually inquired about this earlier today with Bluefin. Godzilla (1964) is Out of Print. There is a chance that Anime Island has a pallet order sitting in Bluefin's warehouse that they're just now receiving. BBTS may be the same case, although this has happened before where an item has sold out, and they'll temporarily label it as a pre-order, then label it sold out. Just keep watching I guess.

To me, since Jaegers are Super Robots anyway, doing them in die-cast is a no brainer.

I ordered the Biollante. With a 10% discount from eBay, I'll be paying $202. Not too shabby, considering.

I tried doing the same thing with a coupon that expired Monday, but couldn't find a Biollante that would be cheaper than $218. How did you find one that low, or are you not counting shipping?
