So i didn't think i had anything to add after AlphaOTS posted his 74 Mechagodzilla gashapon, but i think i found an excuse to repost it and add another to the conversation. :)

Apparently the Bandai High Grade series 9 and series 4 both featured a 1974 Mechagodzilla. The one AlphaOTS posted was from series 9. The one from series 4 was smaller and less detailed.

I've got the '74 Chogokin MG and love it. I do love the look of the chromed '75 one, but at this point I can't afford one.

This one is currently in Oregon, while I'm currently in California, so I can't get a better pic right at the moment.

This one is pretty cool. It's the Marusan "gun metal" Mechagodzilla.

From 2001, the Marusan stylized flying MG'74.
Just like in the movies, you can see the "wires" that keep the suit suspended in air (in this case, I used 2 pound test monofilament fishing line).

M1Go Bullmark Cyborg MechaGodzilla - repro box release from 2010 along with M1Go standard release Cyborg sculpt. (sorry for the crappy pic).

Image

I do find it odd that although the large original Bullmark and repro Cyborg MG were both based on the '74 suit,
that M1 used their own standard size MG75 (MG2) sculpt to create the similar smaller Cyborg release.
Why not use their 9" MG'74 sculpt to be consistent?
