I look forward to seeing Tamashii Nations’ unveil of SHMA Legendary Godzilla. If the images impress me, I might pass on NECA's version and stick with this one instead.

Official reveal on the Bandai site and all. Godzilla doesn't actually bother to include a year alongside his name, just... Godzilla. Probably something to do with his nebulous nature as an actual distinct Godzilla - "Godzilla 1995 with the Lights Off" doesn't have the same ring to it. As a bonus, he includes a re-release of the old Godzilla breath effect in red, perfect for those of us who didn't get the G-Force set.

Why couldn't it be blue? Oh well, I'll be gtting this Godzilla regardless.

BTW, this is supposed to be Jr grown up. If you look, they even have a picture of him from the end of the movie when he is in the smoke.

I'm kind of interested...strangely enough.
I still want the Burning version.

This doesn't surprise me in the slightest. Bandai constantly retools old toys. Stark Jegan from Gundam Unicorn and the Build Fighters line is a prime example. What surprises me is that people thought this was unheard of back when people were hoping for a normal version of the Burning mold. Anyway, I think I will get this. Probably from Bluefin though. I don't want him anywhere near as much as I want Gigan (who I got directly from Japan).

i'll more than likely get it, it's just not a very exciting release for me.

I did get Battra this past week. Overall looks pretty good although seeing it in person I wish the transparent portions weren't so dark, it kind of needs to be backlit in order look right.

Yeah, I'm actually never excited for a Heisei Godzilla.
I need to catch up on the Battra and Kiryu soon.
Though right now I'm more excited for the Battra Larva figure than any of them.

I'm probably gonna get the Adult Jr. As long as it's not $80.

I find it funny how before, people(not necessarily on this site) were talking about how the Burning Goji's sculpt and articulation were much better than the initial Heisei Goji got released. Didn't some people go so far as to actually repaint the burning figure with the regular Heisei colors? And now that we've essentially gotten a perfected Monsterarts Heisei Godzilla(from what we've seen so far), some people are complaining about how it's basically a reissue, as if other companies like Bandai have never done this before. What gives?

The new Godzilla looks OK. Not the most exciting release, but it's still fine. Good for people whom might be just starting the line I suppose.

Fans complained about the use of Kiryugoji on the cover of Criterion's release of Gojira.

Not our brightest moment.

A moment SFJ/MZ HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH.

But still (heh), on the topic of retools and redecos, I'd say there is an audience for a release like this. I just am still pining for my long lost love (Sun God...). I'm really curious to see what future Godzilla releases are out there for the second half of this year. I'd really like the Mutos in a Monsterarts form.

Well, I never got the burning G, and their Godzilla was due for an upgrade (much more deservedly so than f-ing astra and leo  ), so I just might get one.

Anyone else notice that the scaling is get weird for the Heisei stuff both Battra Larva and Adult Junior are going to be 7.1" whereas the other Heisei monsters where just over 6 the exceptions being Destoroyah Final, Biollante and King Ghidorah because they where larger monsters in the series.
