Honestly, not a fan of the figure at first but that head sculpt and some of the minor changes done to the body (new paint, shorter neck) kind of sell me on picking it up. If it's horrible in-hand it's only 20 bucks.

I still think the biggest thing NECA still needs to fix on this figure are the spines...way too damned short. If they thicken the arms and shins/ankles too we'll be in business.

I own the 30cm X Plus and the Bandai memorial box and I'm still probably picking this one up. 84 suit is the suit I grew up with .

X-Plus is probably the best but not without an occasional flaw. Making a deformed figure when it was not intended is not competent and a sculptor who creates garbage like this should find another line of work. They have no business here.

So outside 94, 85, and the 56 (Volcano Monsters!?) they said they're doing, any guesses on what else they got planned as far as Godzilla goes?

I'm going to go on a limb and think Kiryugoji or GMK Godziller.

Godzilla 68 would be cool though.

I must have missed the '56 announcement, but if it were Volcano Monster, wouldn't it technically be '59?

So then I guess a Godzilla 69 would be the suit from Son of Godzilla and not the one from Godzilla's Revenge <_<. That would be pretty disappointing.

Wait, when did they say they were doing a Godzilla 1956 in the first place?

I'm pretty sure the comment was that they would like to do a 54 Godzilla (not sure where 56 came from).

It's pretty obvious they want to do it, and I'm sure we'll be seeing it. They basically gave it away as far as hints and releases are concerned.

As for the 56 comment, I guess they're going from US release dates. Hence The Return Of Godzilla design being called Godzilla 1985 instead of Godzilla 84. Godzilla 54 was referred to as Godzilla 1956

Haven't seen anyone upload any pics of the new Neca.. Just got one yesterday. Heres a couple pics, including a comparo shot with the Jakks Giant figure and the 6" Neca Godzilla.. I love it. It is incredibly detailed and I love the increased poseability vs the 6" Neca figure.

Dahyum.....that looks nice.

I wasn't planning on buying the big NECA, but I'm starting to reconsider. I have a feeling this will probably be even more expensive down the line.

Somebody please take away Mekagoji3k's toy... He is playing with it wrong. Legendary Godzilla does not fly or dance. Humbug.

At a glance, the small and large NECAs seem to have the same articulation, but that larger one can do so many better poses. What's limiting the smaller figure? I tried some of those poses with it, and I can't get anywhere close.

I purchased and then returned the 18inch Knifehead.

I loved the toy, but there were serious quality issues. The jaw came unhinged by twisting the head in a normal range of motion. The foot came detached (it's not supposed to). I later found out the ball joint was loose on the inside, causing it to wobble when I did reattach it. The feet also barely, if at all, touch the ground. That is a terrible design. Lastly, the tail joint on mine was improperly inserted (crooked), causing the tail to have a severe gap. I managed to correct that issue, but in the end my frustrations were too much and I have up.

The sad part is I really like this figure. It's huge and scales well with my Gigantic Godzilla 95 from X Plus. I might buy it again later, but this is one of those quality issues Neca has been known for.

My 24inch Godzilla had bent spikes, a common issue, but it was caused because the plastic packaging is too thin and the spikes actually tore through the plastic. This should never happen.

Does the Knifehead, in general, feel really cheap to you?

The arm came detached on mine, but I'm going to glue it back on the joint. I don't know if its the usual NECA stuff or the fact I left it in an incredibly hot car for a day or so before I opened it.
