Finally found the Compendium cheap enough and in perfect shape $19 shipped. Its one of those things I could have easily bought after picking up and looking at years ago in a store but didn't. It was not until the past year or so I got into getting the US released books. Then I found out that the Compendium seems to be one of those have to have it items that I do not feel like paying the crazy prices for. $50 I do not think so. Not on a book. Also got these 2 other kids books also both together $19 shipped. They were put out in 2004 / 2005 These are not that fantastic but they were cheap enough so I grabbed them.

Wow look at that, it's time for my "1 post per month" (I'd hate to miss that quota). Here's my most recent pickup - got it for under $30 shipped:

Found it on an English-language Japanese site. Pictured and described as crystal but as a manufacturer other than Bandai. Still the dimensions listed were right, and for the price I was willing to take the chance. Size is right, copyright info is there, and they only had 1 for sale (I tried for 2 - no go).

Instead of just going with a white shot I backlit the figure so there'd be shadows to help bring out the mold details.

Even if its a fake, for $30 shipped, it is a pretty cool figure. If it's real, it's an amazing deal! You win both ways.

That is indeed a very nice looking Crystal Godzilla 2000 figure. I would like to get the Pearl Godzilla which looks the same but has a tag attached. I think the going price for the Crystal is around $300 I got mine at G-Fest 2006 from Chibi Goji Toys along with a letter in Japanese that was issued at the theatre when you went and saw the movie in Japan. As a collector I hope the value of the figure goes higher.
