The Ultra Frontier guys look fantastic. Must-buys, all three of them. MRSP of 630 yen each suggests they're still in the 500 scale as that price is too low (I'm assuming that includes Japanese tax) to be in the older scale. I think that's looking to be the end of an era.
Speaking of which, I'm not thrilled with the group shot of the Ultra Monsters 500. I went into this line entirely aware that these new figures would be smaller and not at all match 99% of my existing figures, totally accepted that. I even figured, correctly I think, that the monsters would be slightly smaller than the Ultras, as has been typical of these toys for so long. It's seeing how short so many of these guys are when put together, other than the most humanoid of figures, that gets to me. Granted, it's based on one poor image and I'm not going to jump to canceling my preorder for the first twelve, but seeing Kemur look like he's a reissue of the 6" considering how much taller he is than Black King or Zaragas, or the height of Silvergon and both Golzas, that's disconcerting. I expected a new line of sculpts, not a line where some look like possible reissues of the candy toy vinyls. I hope to be proven wrong when the first in-hand shots and videos appear.
