Jesus, what happened to king_ghidorah's avatar?! EDIT: Whew, better.
On the matter of Timothy's posting, I'll chime in and say that yeah, him bringing up Ultra-Act in other threads, like the new Ultraman movie thread where his opinion seemed to boil down to "Kaiju X is in this film, awesome, now we can get an Ultra-Act of him!" and little else, can be annoying. If he can curb that sort of thing, that'd be great.
But two things also come to mind. One, his excessive enthusiasm shouldn't be effecting opinions of the toyline itself. Ultra-Act had a lot of potential and a very rocky start, but is doing much better now and SH MonsterArts is going to benefit immensely from that perfection. And two, a thread dedicated to one of the toylines in question (on a whole toy subforum no less!) seems like the single worst place to call him out for talking about it! Really, this should have been brought up via PM, but it's a bit late for that.
On topic, I'm not thrilled with the price for this toyline either. However, articulated Godzilla toys are a dream come true for me as well. I've loved most of what I've bought from Ultra-Act and S.H. Figuarts, so MonsterArts is just what I need. Because I can afford expensive figures like these (after I cut other toys from my budget) and their small size compared to X-Plus is actually a positive factor, I'm fine with it. I won't collect 100% of the line, but I'm definitely in for a few figures. Not everyone will feel that way, and I can understand that. Let's just hold off on the hype or the hate until we know more about what Bandai's gonna do with these in the US via Bluefin or until people start picking them up and checking them out firsthand.
