Easy and super effective fix. If I ever get one with the same issue that's probably what I'll do.

So the hype for Jurassic World has sort of got me in a nostalgic JP frenzy. I purchased a full deck of the Topps trading cards, still hunting around for the hologram cards at a good price. But I just sort of splurged on ebay and got me this baby.

Image

Supposedly the electrons still work on it but I'll find out once it arrive. It's in damn fine condition, many of the others had tears under the thighs and scuffs and paint/marker splotches from childhood play and were asking for about the same price.

It feels like I'm buying a part of my childhood back, I loved my Rex but its electronics are dead and it's missing at least one arm.

I also eyed up one of those baby raptors still in their egg but it was around $100. Luckily my Girlfriend says she has one in storage at her folks' place, but her dad is kind of a hoarder apparently and would be hard to get at (not to mention she's embarrassed to bring other people over there because of that).

I had two of those things, lost the arms on both of them, and then a neighbor's dog tore the the other one apart.
The only old JP thing I've thought about hunting down is the Series 2 Carnotaurus and Utah Raptor since those were things I recall begging my parents and family for but never receiving. Unfortunately the Carno goes for insane prices. I ended up getting the Carnotaurus from Disney's Dinosaur back in 2013, it's not the same, but it's fricken huge

Here's a pic for reference

I'm a fan of Revoltech. Already had Ang, so I snagged Gigan to go with him.

I'm not a fan of Revoltech, but I kind of wish I had picked up the Godzilla stuff when they were actually affordable.

Via HLJ I pre-ordered two figures.

Makoto Tachibana from Free! Iwatobi Swim Club for my girlfriend.

And to even out and prove my manliness, got myself Solid Snake

Honestly I figured if I'm getting one figma figure why not two?

They're both April releases so Snake will be a good self birthday gift. As for Makoto, I'll either have to wait until some celebratory day (her b-day is in March, our Anniversary is in November, and there's no real good gift giving holiday in Summer or Fall), or just a "Got you this!". Maybe I'll just go light on her other birthday gift and tell her it's coming late.

Baragon and Mothra are both fantastic. Mothra doesn't have a TON of joints, but the ones that she does have are very useful and well thought out. About the only thing I would've liked that's not there is joints for the legs to swivel around like they do when she fights Godzilla. But the sculpt and paint just spectacular.

But the real champ of the Revoltech line is Rodan. Bar none. Possibly the best Rodan figure ever made.

My absolute favorite is still the first one I got, Baragon.

Decided to pass on the reissue of Gigan for this. The sacrifice was worth it.

I originally purchased the Gridman back last year at G-fest but ever since the animated short for Gridman got me pumped up for that nostalgic feel, I felt it was necessary to purchase the King and Thunder. While I am happy, I can't help but be dissapointed that there were only three of these figures. The lack of the Dragon Cannon for King Gridman is kind of dissapointing but I can understand if the appeal for him is not so big. In terms of price, I'm glad that Thunder wasn't that expensive, that is mainly thanks to the fact that it wasn't a web excusive like King was. The price on him grew a little after the animated shorts.

I really wish there was a interest in Gridman because I wouldn't mind getting a GodZenon and I would throw big money for a DinaDragon. Seriously, give me a Ultraact DinaDragon and "SHUTUP AND TAKE MY MONEY TamashiNation!"
Also, ignore the Anguirus. Bought two of those just because.

Awesome additions! I need to get a Gridman myself, since I recently got the Thunder Gridman upgrade set.

I'm hoping for a Gridman Sigma....
