So Bandai has revealed Dada, Tiga, the first form or Orb that was 66 and Tiga combined, and Juggler.

This got delivered yesterday just before we headed out to Dallas.




I only had time to open him up and that was about it, but he seems pretty cool. Will have to check out the accessories when I get back.

Gomora has arrived:



Gomora is pretty cool. In fact, he may be one of the best Not-MonsterArts MonsterArts ever. His tail is extremely stiff so you can actually pose it without having to worry about it flopping down before you can finish your picture. Not to mention it is able to be posed into a lot of positions. The paint job and sculpting on this figure are absolutely stunning. The only issue I have with mine is that his right hand falls off easily. That aside, this guy rocks.

King Joe - A solid figure overall with some really nice articulation. However, the paint apps is where he really stands out, especially on his chest area with that prism looking plates. I do find it weird that his two antennae can pop out, as it feels like they had originally planned to give him an effect or something to put in there, but didn't have the budget for. I'm not really sure he was a $60+ toy, especially when Gomora cost just as much and you got more with him. Still, it is King Joe and that instantly makes him awesome. Now give me Showa MG Bandai so I can have some robot on robot action. Uh... not like that you pervs!!

I'll definitely get Dada, but I don't like Juggler enough to get him. In fact, Bandai just made my decision as to whether or not I want to get the Orb Figuarts or not so much easier.

My Figuarts Gomora came in last week. The sculpt and paint are excellent, but the articulation takes some getting used to; the limbs, in particular, are very splayed apart, and don't shift easily at the base joints (shoulders/hips). There are a lot of plastic sleeves, too, which help replicate the suit's appearance, but might be hindering motion. My Gomora's right arm and hand like to pop out of socket, too.
Besides those issues, it's a very cool toy:


The box is stupidly big, though. Gomora could probably fit inside the Monsterarts Godzilla 1954 box snugly, but no, Tamashii packs in a whole lot of nothing to make a box that doesn't even fit my shelf well. I suspect the box adds $5 to the cost by itself.

HobbyLink Japan has a pretty good cyber Monday sale on Gomora and King Joe. Ends at 5pm today (though the banner doesn’t say what time zone... so I’d act fast if you want them).

Don't know if you guys saw this, but Pandan and Antlar were shown off at some event today. Also some other monsters I do not recognize that I think may be from Return of Ultraman.

Gudon and Twin Tail! Very nice. Might have to grab an Antlar. Not a fan of Pandon, but the figure looks cool.

So Dada is pretty cool with a lot nice paint aps and sculpting. Unfortunately, I do not like the way they did his legs. He has those drop down hip pegs that are prone to breakage and the hip piece that covers the joint is extremely loose whenever you move his legs around. Other than that minor nitpick and that one hand is molded attached to the gun, I love him. The different faces are pretty awesome, especially the battle damaged one. If he wasn't so expensive I would easily buy two more.











I can't wait to add Antar, Pandon, Guts, and Zarab to my collection next year.
