I personally think the prices go up and down based on the seller and not so much the demand. I think that because these older figures are not being made no more. And you see most of them on ebay. The sellers probably bought them once they came out and now are selling off their collections. Probably selling them for the price they bought them for when they were in demand.
The Biollante figure is still and exspensive figure with the box. Why tho? is it because we all think it is rare...i dont think it is rare anymore. i have seen it around alot. But maybe to the sellers it is rare. who knows. Either way the older figures with tags attached and in mint condition are probably a good find when found. It all matters to the person hunting that figure if it is worth it to them at the price it is for sale at.
