$58 shipped for both, so I'm happy despite some paint scuffs and marks.

58 shipped is great. Especially for the Titanosaurus, it looks great.

A while back, I felt the need recently to make a major addition to my Bandai Japan lineup. So I did. And it arrived today!

$110 shipped: excellent condition with attached tag. Not quite the hard bargain I usually drive, but still better than most prices out there.

Great figure. This really feels like some quality vinyl--hard but not brittle. The sculpt is incredibly detailed for its time, getting the character better than a 1200 yen toy had any business doing. The paint is fairly simple but effective, the metallic teal on the back standing out as particularly attractive.

With this and the Marmit Monster Heaven figure, I feel like I'm sitting pretty for Gorosaurus for a while. Maybe later I'll do a Gorosaurus photoshoot with those two and the Iwakura Bullmark.

Bandai knocked Gorosaurus' head sculpt out of the park in a way no other company has ever been able to do. And I absolutely mean that.

Got this stuff at NYCC last weekend:

Banpresto "rubber face" 8" Ultraman
Image

The Bandai booth was blowing these out at $6 a pop. Bought six and got the entire set with no doubles. Baltan is missing an eye but that doesn't change how incredible this set was at such a cheap price. I'd love to get more of these, but the ebay prices on later sets are asinine.

And of course, here's the new Bandai Earthtron, which I got in the mail today. Love this figure!

So within the last week I got this haul pictured below from various sources. As you may or may not know for the last few months Tokyo's museum of contemporary art had a large exhibition featuring the Art of Tokusatsu films. A collaboration between the museum, Studio Ghibli (world famous), Hideaki Anno (Evangelion-fame), and Shinji Higuchi (Heisei Gamera Trilogy). Showcasing artwork, suits, movie props, and set pieces from various Japanese giant monster and tokusatsu films.

My haul includes the two artbooks sold at the museum. One featuring the making of the film short film made for exhibition "Giant God Warrior Descends onto Tokyo", a 266 page artbook that features the contents of the exhibition (including english introduction by the museum and Hideaki Anno), Figma Giant God Warrior from the short film and some small gashapons featuring scenes from the short film.

I'll give a more detailed figure review for the Figma action figure in a seperate thread. Awesome stuff you wont find very easily, I tell you that. Especially the books.

Just received my new Gira-Goji figure from Marmit today (this a new variant announced back in June, but not shipped out until this month). Always wanted to pick up this figure, but the price was also in the $100 range, so I just ordered this new variant for about $50 straight from Marmit:
