My X Plus Ex Gomora shipped today :D

Now, I need to find the older Gamera 95 and Gamera 99.

And I need to wait for X Plus to release the Showa Gamera and a Guiron...maybe a Gyaos.

Think that'll be it for me this year. I'm sure there will be a surprise in there somewhere, but being married has kind of shifted my priorities to taking care of my wife and I's future. Less figure collecting for me, though I will finally admit, I doubt I'll ever be completely done. I always be a in a state of swapping things out, but the days where I want to drop 200 bucks on a figure died with the superb 30cm Gamera 96. Ended that era for me on a high note.

This is what I got yesterday : 1966 and I love it. :D
I skip the reservation period, damn ...... so I ended up paying more $$ but I received the Ric exclusive to my great surprise.

I think the X-plus 1966 version is an improvement over the real suit used in the movie, that's why I bought it.

The X-plus figures can be quite expensive when you skip the pre-order period. I passed Godzilla 1966 and Varan 1958 before X-mas and
I ended up with regrets so I tracked them down on e-Bay and Amazon in early january. Those replicas are are real drug and replaced all the Bandai and toy-ish stuff from my shelves.

I'm not a big fan of the 1962 version but I grabed a copy at Hobby search at regular price a couple of days ago.

Here is my x-plus familly so far :

I hope X-plus will re-release a 23 cm baragon with ears upstanding and Godzilla 2000.

Yeah when you start building an X-Plus army your collection definitely starts looking more professional and less toy-ish.

X-Plus Co. is now providing SciFi Japan with publicity materials for their upcoming giant monster products so we should have regular coverage on the site from this point on. We kick off with information and over 40 photos of Toho and Tsuburaya Pro figures scheduled for release in late March 2013!

Got my EX Gomora in today. WOW, to think I almost passed up on this figure. It's amazing in detail and in scale. It gives a little more weight to the theory that X Plus might be nixing, or at least limiting, the 30cm line as this figure, along with the new Barugon apparently, seem to be larger than the traditional 25cm scale figures. I'd say the EX Gomora is prob in the 10 inch scale range (remember, Gomora is kind of the "Wolverine of kaiju" he's typically said to be 5-10 meters shorter than Ultraman....mostly because of his hunched over posture, he's still a very big kaiju)

Anywho, it's a really big figure and its tail is really, really long. I highly recommend it if you can still find it.

It was buried in the link KG posted on the 7th, but we didn't discuss it too much.... since we are getting MGII and this I hope this points to the inevitable 25cm Titanosaurus.... although with X-Plus is anything truly inevitable?

You know of any good dealers that sell the exclusive? I might get it too. Godzilla 1985 is probably tied for my favorite Godzilla film of all time.

That's a really nice exclusive item for it.

Maann.....X-Plus stuff. My enemy. Consistently disappointed by their figures, but I still love them. When they release more Heisei/Millennium stuff, I'll probably fall apart. Like a '95 Godzilla or a Kiryu...
