Recieved the full box of the Yuji Sakai Complete Works Final set. I opened up one of the boxes today, and it's the GxMG scene. Very nice.
But, it's the $40 that I probably should have saved for Prom (Ironically, I still need $40 for Prom), but I'm glad I got the set. And besides, I ordered it before I really knew how much of an investment Prom really was.
Girls.
But that's the last Godzilla purchase I'll probably make for quite some time.
(I still have a ton of figures up for sale, so you can check out those in the sale ads...please...make offers...)

But once I finish opening the entire set, I guess I'll do a little review on it.

Finally got the 95 memorial box. Won it on ebay...quite pleased. I had the opp to purchase it when it came out for $275, but my funds were low as I had just bought the super big scale final premium 3 weeks before hand.

Gah! Toss it up on ebay, man! There might be less deman soon! Nintendo is ramping up production! Either way, they sold out of them by the next day... I went for one to put on ebay... sorry. It was the weirdest thing to see them on the shelf! The last time I saw the box in person was when I picked it up at the launch! Finally seeing DS Lites in stores again, too! Boy, those were scarce for a good while as well.

On the Godzilla front, I got a wonderful package from kaijutoy today!

HAHAHA! Took a while for these, especially that 95 theater! Kinda strange, now: getting all the figures I've been pining for...
Ah well, it's fun!

LOL! You're lucky! I was about to pick that bad boy up! lol! Ah well, I got a good batch anyway!

Really quick shipping from GiganGoji! Wasn't expecting these so soon!
10" Banpresto Kiryu (w/box)
G:FW battle set Kaiser Ghidorah
G:FW battle set King Shiiza 2005
6" original Godzillasaurus (no tag)
Real Godzilla 4 (w/ box) Biollante adult and Rose Biollante
HG 5 Cretaceous Ghidorah
HG 1 EX Godzilla 1994 (w/ capsule)
Real Godzilla 4 silver Baby Godzilla
Gummi set Mechagodzilla (with arms in the air)

Really happy about this bunch! I have pretty much no space for anything (going to the store today to find a shelf for later this week, lol!), but these small figures work as awesome filler between the 6 inch+ figures. The Real Godzilla Biollante rose pretty much sucks, but the final form looks a lot better than I thought it would! And I figure that if the Banpresto MechG is set somewhere high or really low, I won't notice the cut up jaw which really isn't as bad as I figured. Thanks again, GiganGoji, and enjoy your prom :D

Blaqreign also got my new figures out pretty quickly, too! And boy, I couldn't be happier about these guys.

Trendmasters Godzilla Wars Varan, Megalon, and Baragon with sound and all in their boxes! I remember looking at these fellas on the TM site years ago and wishing I had the $45 to buy them at the time. Missed every one that has come up on ebay in the last 18 months! Thanks a lot, man! A great set!

Also got three generic GINO art posters for a couple bucks. Not a bad buy when you consider that they were sold in stores for like $10 apiece when they came out. I'm still rather unsure about framing them since I don't have room and really don't care for the movie so much as a G film...

All right, finally. Got a big box of Godzilla toys in the mail today with a bunch of stuff I've been looking forward to for a long time. It's always nice to come home from work on a Monday to new Godzilla stuff.

First up is the 4th Complete Works Sakai set. I'm not going to bother posting pictures since you can find pictures here and on Jean's site but I will say that it's another fantastic set. The Godzillas look great and the bases are really cool, though they're simpler than usual. I love the little palm trees on the '69 Godzilla diorama and the huge tower on the '91 piece is incredible. Sorry to see the series end though.

Also got the new Ghidora, Gigan and Hedora figures from Pilot Ace. This is the second release of the Ghidora figure, this time molded in yellow vinyl and painted in shades of gold. This makes it look a lot less like an old Bullmark toy, though I think it would have looked better with some stronger gold or maybe some bronze sprays. And thankfully, they fixed the droopy left wing from the first release. Definitely a cool, and LARGE, figure.

The Gigan figure could have been fantastic. Most of the sculpt is really strong. The legs look great, the body and head are really nicely detailed and the arms can be posed in some pretty dynamic ways. But (as some of us have noticed) the back fins are really too small, an unfortunate result of being cast as part of the main body mold. Additionally, the paint job really does this figure no favors. The colors (lime green on pale blue) are bland and really kill all of the great detail on the sculpt. I don't know why Pilot Ace would go out of their way to create such a great sculpt and then ruin it with such mediocre paint. The Marmit Monster Heaven figure (see photo below) is still a much better figure. I guess the ball's in Gigabrain's court now.

The Hedora turned out to be my favorite figure of the three. It was limited to 100 figures and was only available at the recent Super Festival two weekends ago. I love this sculpt, probably one of my favorite Hedoras aside from the 6" Bandai figure. This thing is huge, scales up with the Godzilla figures really well and has a really eye catching paint job. I honestly didn't expect to like this figure as much as I do, and I'm definitely psyched to see what else Pilot Ace has in store.

And of course, here are some pics...
