What happened to their Baragon is what happened to their '62 Godzilla, '94 Godzilla featuring an open mouth...nothing. They have the sculpts, clearly visible on their blogspot (you have to search around to find them), and in fact they look pretty damn good. But for whatever reason, they just aren't releasing them.

You know, it's great that a company can put out a gold/silver version of a toy that I believe we've seen more enough of, but when it comes to actually releasing a Godzilla, not to mention one I believe we'd all love to see...

It's a shame, because that 1962 actually looks really good, certainly better than the Bandai Museum version. And while the open mouthed Heisei Godzilla looks just as fugly as the closed mouth version I'll admit that I definitely would have bought the Burning Godzilla variant if they had actually released it.

CCP, you just keep re-releasing those Hedora figures. Seriously, go nuts. And at the end of the day I'll thank you for saving me money.

I'm a huuuggee fan of the GMK suit, beer belly in all. Though I don't
own them, I love pretty much any vinyl representation of the character
and finally,...something truly awesome has happened.
I give you the Marmit Monster Heaven GMK Goji



Admittedly I do not enjoy the filled in pink mouth, though it doesn't
look nearly as bad as it does on the 94 Godzilla. The color scheme kind
of reminds me of the Bandai Glitter GMK Goji thing. I think it was
a Hyper Hobby exclusive or something. Anyway, I was going to try
to pick up that Kumonga re-release, but screw that. I want this thing.
Also, huzzah to Marmit for something new!

Lets see...it's a mail order figure with a December shipping schedule. This definitely gives me something to look forward to, but lets hope that Marmit can meet that schedule this time. Can Baragon, Mothra and Ghidora be too far behind?

Marmit, can you do me a favor and find it in your heart to release Monster Heaven figures of the '65 and '84 Godzillas, so I can have a complete Godzilla suit collection from you guys?

And yes, the glitter Bandai GMK Godzilla was a Hyper Hobby exclusive.

As legitimately laugh-worthy as it is for Marmit to simply release yet another Meltdown, it IS a good-looking piece. Something has to be said for how well the look was pulled off without the apparent use of translucent plastic. I could go for this one; might have to check in with Mike J. for it!
