Hmm, had no idea. Is it possible this is an end to the Carlton Cards ornament line? Or maybe did Hallmark get the license for the new movie only, I wonder?

Well I read on a FB group where I posted the image (that I saw that someone else had seen from a Twitter feed apparently) that Legendary was wanting the toy pic removed from as many places as it could be. Though I did not leak or release any image, just saw something someone else posted, and assumed it was new and alright for public knowledge. I suppose someone has seen something after the fact that that the image is not ready for public disclosure of that toy. I am editing the pic out of my particular post. Though those who have seen it, good for you, anyone else, well you have to wait. Anyone who quoted the image, maybe you should edit your posts as well.

i think it has to do with how easy it is to proliferate images on the internet.. what was meant for a few eyes only can quickly become virally uploaded to many different hosts and cached before the original poster can do anything about it.

Man I hope the implication is that they will be making a line with several classic monsters, and not just a "classic Godzilla figure" ie. one of the previous suit designs. I want a whole bunch of the classic opponents...

I kinda have mixed feelings about NECA doing a bunch of new Godzilla figures. On the one hand, they make some really awesome toys with great sculpts (look at the new Quarter Scale 1989 Batman - it's crazy good) so I'm sure anything they make will look fantastic. But on the other hand, the quality of the materials they use sucks. Big time. I was just rearranging a shelf the other day. I picked up my Stryker Eureka and the leg fell off. I've not been rough on it at all. I opened it, checked out the articulation, and put it on the shelf. I've put pretty much zero stress on the hip joint, yet somehow the o-ring that holds the peg that holds the leg to the hip cracked in half while sitting on a shelf. I was able to do a little superglue surgery and get everything back together and maintain a functioning joint, but it wasn't easy. And it shoudln't have been necessary. How does a hip joint crack in half just sitting on a shelf anyway? And I've seen it happen before. My brother had an Alien from NECA. I picked it up and the foot fell off. Same kind of problem as my Pacific Rim toy, but several years earlier...

I'd rather have Hallmark have the license for this movie. Hallmark ornaments always seem easier to find anyway.

...why BBTS would complicate matters by listing the figures based on length instead of height is beyond me. Anyway, the 12" tall one is a surprise and a more affordable substitute to the presumed 18" figure, but how either figure will fare in comparison to a MonsterArts version of Legend-Goji (or whatever classic figures NECA also makes) remains to be seen. At those prices, we could easily be seeing Pacific Rim take two, and something about the way those tails are described makes me think "wire".

That's just misinfo. The only Godzilla figures NECA has announced so far is the two 2014 figures.

One is 6 inches, the other is 12.
