Not necessarily. Seam lines only definitely indicate a separate piece, not articulation. There are plenty of instances where a figure has a seam and could have articulation, but instead is glued in place and won't move. GMK Ghidorah's heads were like that, as I recall.

Because then they wouldn't be able to use the same packaging for all of them. The molds already have to be different looking (obviously) so the next easiest thing to save money on is packaging.

Damn that MechaG pain and sculpt wise is pretty nice looking in that video. The arms are weird....but Still not as bizarre as Hedorah. The 54 Godzilla is also strange, just because I never felt the 54 Godzilla could be in any pose other than the one we normally see him in. I'll pick up both of these, but the MechaG is something I'm actually looking forward to.

Now to find him a surfboard.

I was wrong.

But the good kind of wrong. After a little bit of hunting I was able to snag a '54 Godzilla at the second TRU I checked this evening. The head does move, as do both arms, both legs and a section of the tail. On top of that, the figure isn't green at all but more of a medium gray.

Those who said the back fins look great are absolutely right. The fins are the very best part of this figure. IMHO though, everything else is just about average. The look is definitely the 1954 Godzilla but I think the 10 year-old Bandai is still the superior figure, even with the crude back fins. Still, for a $10 toy you can get at your neighborhood TRU I suppose you can't go wrong.
