A pretty interesting line of crossover toys, with the likes of Godzilla Transformers and Patlabor Zoids. Synergenex has to be the most corporate-sounding name for a toy line though.

I suspect the Godzilla Megatron will be based on Masterpiece Grimlock. As for the Macross 7 Transformer, anyone who knows the history of G1 Transformers controversies will be expecting that to look suspiciously like Jetfire.

So uhhh, any toy collectors left in these parts? Happy to see the movie forums limping along but here’s been quiet for like a year. To keep on topic, those Godzilla Transformers crossovers sure ended up disappointing IMO - Leader Grimlock with Megatron’s head vaguely cosplaying as Godzilla and a Kiryu-deco Optimus Prime.

I'm not a toy collector but I've seen images of those Godzilla Transformers figures. Talk about uninspired. The concept has so much potential for great figures like a Beast Wars-style robot that transforms into Godzilla, or a Mechagodzilla figure that transforms into a truck, or even something crazy like Mogera transforming into the Gotengo, or Minilla transforming into a hot air balloon.
