Help! Did the Wonderfest Marmt flying Hedorah come glued?

Hey all. I recently sold this figure loose on eBay, and the buyer is claiming that the two halves of the figure are glued together. I'm wondering if the Wonderfest version came this way originally, or if it wa glued together by a previous owner?
