Are they bad or is there better versions coming out of those g-movies?

If you don't already have King of the Monsters! on DVD, I've heard their's is pretty decent. I have their Rodan and though it's not great, it's the only Rodan on R1.

The rest should be avoided like the plague -- pan and scan, all of 'em.

Eh, truthfully I believe CM's releases of KOTM and Rodan is ok. As for Godzilla's Revenge, I really don't care whether or not I get a scratched up pan and scan print because the movie simply doesn't matter enough to me. Just as long as I have it in some form or another, that's all that counts. As for Godzilla vs. Mothra and Terror of Mechagodzilla, Classic media is supposed to be re-releasing those in widescreen prints later on so I would have to concur with the majority here and say NO - don't pick up their box set. Just wait patiently to see what CM does..... if they do anything. I'm guessing the re-releases will prolly hit markets when they release Gojira uncut but then again - that's just mere speculation.

Yeah, just hold off on it until we hear about some confirmation of some of these re-releases or if more of them become re-released because you'll be able to find that box set again for years but you'll regret spending money on it if they decide to make betters ones later.

I've debated getting Rodan just to have it, but i can't bring myself to actually pay $20 for a copy I know is crap.

As for the whole set...hell no.

you can get rodan in the bargain bin at walmart for 5 bucks. I did. it's worth that, but no more.

I'd get King of the Monsters and Rodan (if you have KOTM already skip it) at walmart or something for 5.00, then thats pretty good. But as far as vs. Mothra, Revenge and Terror go, skip them (although, I don't think the Simitar Terror is any better so if you really want that get it as well). Check out Digital Monster Islands review on them (I'de put Tokyo Monsters, but there is only a reivew for Godzilla vs. Mothra).
