Ok, that's some great news! I'd gladly buy up all the ones I could find to go with GMK (GxM and GxMG will be purchased as soon as I can get them...).

This definitely is good news, so long as Classic Media delivers on its promises. I'm a little bit puzzled by the remark about releasing them in December to be timed with the new film. Why do that? The DVDs are for America; the movie is coming out in Japan. How do you tie in on the release of a film happening thousands of miles away? It would make more sense to try to tie in the DVDs with Rialto's release of GOJIRA.

Either that or CM is just being lazy.....
The only excuse I see, if they would even bother doing this.... (Not to mention being able to afford it) Is to actually remaster the prints/get new prints.
Although with the latter option they lose the english version, and I DOUBT they'll want to put two seperate videos on one disc.
And the first option, I'll doubt they'll even do.

Wouldn't it be nice if Classic Media's revisiting their G films with new treatments on DVD were a portent of better things to come on DVD in the near future?
Oh, I realize Classic Media's move is primarily motivated by the apparent financial success of their first go-round on these films on DVD, but I wanna think the press Godzilla is now receiving around the country (my mother-in-law in the Carolinas sent me a local newpaper clipping about Godzilla this week for criminy sakes!) is also helping to creat a market for G films!
Oboy, oboy, oboy, if only other US companies would jump on the "50th Anniversary band wagon" and seek out other G titles to release!

This is great news, if they come through and they're an improvement over the Simitar releases (which ain't to shabby themselves). I'd really love to see War of the Gargantuans widescreen - that would get me jumping up and down.

So... I've got more money to save up when I don't even have a job, now? How am I ever gonna pay for all this?! This news great, but only if you're rich....

They'll probably end up in the Walmart bargain bins like the first series of Godzilla films anyway, so at least you won't have to save too much money.
