Wasn't Disney suing RedBox for selling codes? Last I knew one of the last chains of rental chains, Family Video, would sell the digital copies of their movies.

And wouldn't selling your digital copy code be similar to selling the standard copy of the Blu-ray that also came with the 3D or 4K version, as they tend to have both versions?

While I completely agree with you in principle, Kain, unfortunately copyright law is rarely on the consumer’s side. It’s total BS but it doesn’t surprise me to see them cracking down.

I've sold a bunch of digital copies on ebay. The latest one was KOTM since I bought it on digital before it hit bluray. No problems but it's wise to post it under a Buy it Now option.

Well, for what it's worth...our local Wal Mart has sold out of all the standard DVD and Blu Ray copies, with only a couple of 4K discs left. Which has got me curious as to how the video release is doing. I know it's been reported that Godzilla 85, while a bit of a flop in the theater, did VERY well on home video and my understanding is that this has held true for other Godzilla release's as well. Perhaps the video release will give the film a respectable total?...

Not to further de-rail this thread, but I was just wondering...Seeing as almost all movies that come with a digital code also come with a DVD copy as well as the Blu, why not include that with the code and technically, you'll be following their rules by including an "original" disc, just the lowest resolution one?
