Monster Zero x SciFi Japan - Archive Only

I was doing some holiday shopping and surfed over to eBay for the first time in a very long while. Surprised to find several older Ultra (and Kamen Rider) series for sale complete w/English subs(!?), ads state that these are 100% legal editions, thru Malaysia gov or some such???

1) Are these legit?

2) Anyone who has them, are they good quality video & audio. What about the Eng. subs? Accurate or gawdawful?

Nope, they are all bootlegs.

You can also get better quality by just downloading the fansubs.

The only official Kamen Rider DVDs with subs are V3 in Hawaii and The First from Media Blasters.

I cannot speak to the KR release as I do not own any However... The Ultraman ones, if they are released by VBG are legit

They are officially licensed in Malaysia, where Chaiyo has legal right to distribute the Ultraman series. Morally however, because they are not sanctioned by TPC, many have chosen to boycott them, this is a personal choice, but should not be confused with the legality of their release. The subs are well done for the most part, not perfect, but far better than some anime DVD's I've owned in the past. The quality differs from set to set. With most I've had no problems except for Ultraman Ace, which had some blurriness with some episodes.
